| All meds will be okayed by a Nurse and or Doctor before accepted in the front office. Only unopened over the counter medication will be accepted. Prescriptions brought in will be checked by the Nurse or Doctor before given to the inmate. All prescriptions must be in their proper container, with proper date on bottles and the proper count, if not they will be refused. Over the counter medication can only be accepted with 100 count bottle or less. No sleep aid meds will be accepted. |
To All Friends, Family & Inmates: As of 4-30-2010 There is a new policy for handling medications. Once medicine is brought in by either family, friends or inmate; it will not be released to anyone but the inmate. If the medication is not approved by the Doctor/Nurse the medicine will be stored here until that individual is released. If the inmate does not receive the medication upon release; He/She has 30 days to pick up their medicine from the front office. This will be done Monday thru Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM only. If left after 30 days the medication will be destroyed. PER: County Attorney |
